Vondel’s key chain became something of a known quantity during the early part of Season 4. The Reloaded update has changed the chain though, so you now need to go to different places to acquire your keys. Here’s how to get and where to use the Stage Bag Key in Warzone DMZ.
How To Get the Stage Bag Key in DMZ
There are still multiple ways to get the Stage Bag Key in Vondel. However, it deviates from other keys in one crucial way too (more on that later). First, we’re detailing the ways to acquire it and showing you exactly how to get your hands on it.
Looting
The first method to acquire it is via looting. As you’d expect, this is a pretty unreliable and time consuming way of getting the Stage Bag Key.
It’s not easily found in crates, chests or bags and the number of keys in Vondel mean you’re just as likely to pull another key rather than the specific one you’re searching for. If you do happen to come across it while doing another mission or opening caches in Vondel then you’re in luck.
Final Countdown Mission
A much better method to acquire the Stage Bag Key is to complete the Final Countdown Mission. This guarantees the Stage Bag Key as a reward, alongside a whopping 20,000 XP.
As you may have been able to tell from the XP on offer, Final Countdown is a Tier 5 Mission in the new Phalanx Faction, requiring players to:
- Solo Infil.
- Extract with the final exfil with 3 weapons dropped by enemy operators in the same deployment.
It’s a very tough assignment and players might not be at Tier 5 of the Phalanx Faction – or anywhere close. That’s why our recommended method is to work your way through the key chain however you need to.
Mayor’s Briefcase
Previously, the Stage Bag Key was guaranteed in the Barista’s Bag. It’s now guaranteed in the Mayor’s Briefcase after Season 4 Reloaded changed the Vondel key chain. This requires the Mayor’s Briefcase Key, which is another matter altogether.
In Vondel, the Mayor’s Briefcase is located to the east of University and the west of City Hall, in map grid G3. It’s on a bench in one of the open squares in front of the Hall. Typically, it’s populated by a lot of AI so we’ve found the best way to approach it is from the north, hopping the wall and getting out as fast as you got in.
You’re searching for a small metallic briefcase sat on a bench. It should stand out and be fairly easy to spot. Assuming you have the key you need, you can unlock it and enjoy the goodies inside. For us, this was top tier loot including a Gold Bar and a Tempered Plate Carrier (alongside the key we wanted).
Stow the keys and loot and head for the exfil or, if you’re brave enough, onto your next objective.
Where To Use Stage Bag Key
It’s now a matter of finding a Stage Bag to open. While most keys only open one cache or location, the Stage Bag Key opens two separate duffels. Unsurprisingly, both sit at the back of stages where musical bands will have performed in the past. Luckily, these locations haven’t changed in Season 4.
University Stage Bag
The first Stage Bag location is just northwest of University, in map grid E2. The image on the left below shows you its approximate location on Vondel, with the image on the right showing you precisely where to head within the University POI.
As you approach, you’ll see a modest stage that looks like it’d host a college band. On the stage at the back, there’s a duffel bag that requires a key to unlock. It looks like all the other Duffel Bags in Warzone, but it is the Stage Bag and the Stage Bag Key is what you need to open it.
Inside the bag is the Buoyant House Key, alongside a GPU and some other loot. All are worth stowing and exfiling with.
North Fire Department Stage Bag
The second Stage Bag location is north of the Fire Department, south of the Castle’s POI. Specifically, it’s in map grid C5. The images below show you it’s location in west Vondel and then more closely.
Again, you’re after a duffel bag pushed up against the back of a small stage. This one is patrolled by more AI, with plenty also in the residential areas south and west. It’s easy to become overrun so ensure you’ve got plenty of armor when you head over there.
Just head over to the Duffel Bag and interact with it to open. Like the one at University, it’ll grant you the Buoyant House Key and a GPU.
It means the Stage Bag Key is perfect to ascertain two GPUs in one deployment – provided the key you’re using can be used twice. A worn key will only offer one use.
